The Origin Story of a Trilogy: Part II

In 2009, I traveled twice to Arkansas to research the setting for book two in my Of the Wing trilogy:

The Ivory-billed Obsession. One trip was to the White River National Wildlife Refuge where park ranger Matt Conner gave me a motorboat tour of Moon Lake and Indian Bayou and a driving tour of other locations of interest. My second outing was with wildlife biologist Allan J. Mueller and a couple of his close friends on a canoe trip of Bayou DeView, the site of several sightings in past years of the Ivory-billed Woodpecker.

These outings provided me the first hand experience needed to write about an expedition for my characters Claire and Victor. And in 2011, I published book two (pictured below) in my trilogy

Of the Wing.

I had one more book to write, but first I would need to travel twice to Ireland to research the setting and the story. Come back soon for this next installation!

Want to experience for yourself a few moments of this expedition? Then take a quick trip to a video I posted in 2010 to YouTube . . . Oh! Before you go, be sure to check back here for the final part in this three-part investigation into the

 "Origin of a Trilogy"!
